Tulane interested in Terps' assistant Dickerson

Maryland senior associate head basketball coach Dave Dickerson is being considered for the vacant head coaching job at Tulane, sources said. Dickerson, 37, has been an assistant on Gary Williams' staff since 1996 and was promoted to senior associate head coach after Jimmy Patsos left the Terrapins to become the head coach at Loyola last April. Williams has said over the past couple of years that Patrick Chung Jersey Dickerson is ready for his first head coaching job. He has been a candidate for several openings since the Terps won the national championship in 2002, and reportedly interviewed for the head coaching jobs at College of Charleston, Clemson and South Florida in past seasons.

Having already lost assistant Jimmy Patsos to Loyola College, University of Maryland men's basketball coach Gary Williams also Authentic Brandon LaFell Jersey is looking to replace assistant Matt Kovarik, who has decided to leave coaching and concentrate on law school, according to a source familiar with the situation at Maryland. Sources said Williams is considering hiring former Maryland player Keith Booth and current Catholic University head coach Mike Lonergan to complete his new staff. Dickerson, 36, a 1990 Maryland graduate who played for the Terrapins from 1986 to 1989 and has coached under Gary Williams in College Park for the past seven years, is pursuing his first head coaching job. Dickerson interviewed last month with Clemson, Brandon LaFell Jersey after Larry Shyatt resigned.
